Michelle Trachtenberg has tragically died at age 39.
The actress was known for a wide range of film and TV roles, including Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Gossip Girl.
After hearing the devastating news of her passing, fans have taken to social media and paid tribute.
One fan writes: “Ice Princess was one of my favorite movies growing up. This is devastating.”
Another adds: “May she rest in peace. Loved watching Buffy, such a great show.”
“This is heartbreaking. Eurotrip was one of my fav films as a teenager. She was so likable in everything I saw her in,” comments a third. “My thoughts are with family and friends.”
According to sources from the New York Post, Trachtenberg was found by her mother at around 8 a.m. on February 26 at One Columbus Place, a 51-story luxury apartment complex in Manhattan’s Central Park South neighborhood.
The actress recently underwent a liver transplant, according to sources.
Trachtenberg’s death is not being treated as suspicious.
