Jason and Kylie Kelce are getting in the spirit of the Paris Olympics!

The retired NFL star, 36, and his wife, 32, made a surprise appearance at Team USA’s women’s field hockey match on Saturday, July 27 in Paris, cheering on the athletes as they ultimately fell 4-1 to Argentina.

Though they kept things supremely patriotic, with Jason in a blue USA sweatshirt and Kylie in a red, white and blue jacket, the former Philadelphia Eagles star put a French twist on his look, topping it off with a blue beret.

“When we found out that we were going to have an opportunity to go to this, the more we thought about it, we were like, ‘Let’s take advantage of it now that we can actually do it,’ ” Jason, who no longer has to report to training camp in the summer now that he’s retired, told the Associated Press. “We love sports, we love competition, we love world events. This is such a unique place where the entire world gets to come together and bond over competition and sports.”

Despite the loss, Jason, who spent his entire 13-year career with the Eagles, praised the team’s tireless work, and said the game was “fun” to watch, and he was “proud of the girls for how hard they fought.”

Field hockey has long been a passion for Kylie, who played in college at Cabrini University. In March, she hit the field with Team USA players Ashley Sessa and Kelee Lepage, filmed a TikTok and also interviewed them for a segment on NBC Philadelphia.

“I would say I’ve always wanted to come and see (an) Olympic games,” she told the AP after Saturday’s game. “When they qualified to come to Paris, I was like, that kind of makes sense. And then when I got to sit down with Ashley and Kelee, it was kind of a no-brainer. … Through and through, it made sense. We’re happy to be here.”

Sessa, the youngest member of the team at 20, scored the U.S.’s only goal during the game. In an interview with the AP last week, she heaped praise on Kylie, lauding her “amazing heart” and “down-to-earth” personality.

“Meeting Kylie was an amazing experience to meet someone who also shares the same passion to grow the game,” she said. “Having the opportunity to connect and relate with her is great.”

The Kelces are among a slew of celebrities flooding Paris for the Games. On Sunday, July 28, Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo and Snoop Dogg were spotted cheering on the women’s gymnastics team.
