The renowned Team USA gymnast arrived at the Paris Olympics already a winner, with records, incredible moves and seven Olympic medals to her name. Gold: Rio 2016

In her very first Olympics outing in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2016, Simone Biles was a star, winning gold in several events, including floor (pictured).

Simone Biles continued her near-sweep in Rio with gold on the vault.

Additionally, Team USA — Aly Raisman, Madison Kocian, Laurie Hernandez, Simone Biles and Gabby Douglas — went all the way in 2016, winning the gold medal for the team competition together. “Dreams do come true,” Biles tweeted afterward.

Bronze: Tokyo 2020

At the 2020 Olympics (delayed until 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic) in Tokyo, Japan, Simone Biles faced some struggles, including a case of the “twisties,” which forced her to withdraw from several events. She did earn bronze in balance beam, though, and joyously FaceTimed with her family afterward.

Despite the hurdles, Simone Biles and her teammates Suni LeeJordan Chiles and Grace McCallum earned silver in the women’s team final that year, too.
