Caitlyn Jenner Responds After Restaurant Uses Photos Of Her For Its Restrooms

Caitlyn Jenner has responded after a restaurant used her photos for its restrooms.

The former Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has spoken out about the viral image after it was reposted on social media.

The photo, originally shared by Dodie’s Place Cajun Bar & Grill in Allen, Texas, shows the restaurant’s bathroom doors decorated with before-and-after shots of Jenner’s transition.

In the image, the men’s restroom door featured a picture of Jenner from her days as Bruce, prominently displaying her gold medal-winning track and field career.

Meanwhile, the women’s restroom door showed a famous Vanity Fair cover, where Jenner made her transition public for the first time.

The restaurant used these contrasting images to mark the difference between the men’s and women’s restrooms.

Originally shared by the restaurant in 2017, the viral post read: “Come meet our newest member of the Dodie’s crew, Caitlyn & Bruce! Stop in for our weekly specials, served all day!”

Since her transition, Jenner has remained a polarizing figure, particularly within the transgender community.

While she has been vocal about her experiences and beliefs, she has also faced criticism for her views on transgender issues.

Notably, she launched a campaign in 2023 called ‘Fairness First,’ aiming to oppose what she calls ‘gender extremism.’

This initiative, which focuses on parental rights and protecting children from what she sees as radical gender ideology, has attracted attention and sparked debate.

Jenner’s position on transgender women in sports has also fueled controversy, with her voicing concerns about fairness in athletic competition.

Critics argue that the former Olympian’s views often contradict the values of inclusivity and equal rights for all transgender individuals.

But now, Jenner is making headlines for her response to the viral restaurant post.

Although the eatery intended it to be a joke, it quickly sparked controversy. Many people considered it disrespectful, especially after Jenner publicly transitioned in 2015, at the age of 65.

The backlash led the restaurant to apologize and remove the post.

Although the viral post reignited the debate regarding how transgender individuals are represented in media and public spaces, Jenner seemed to take it all in her stride.

When the image resurfaced on X (formerly Twitter), Jenner responded with her trademark humor, writing: “Funny as hell.”

As she reposted the image, she also expressed her appreciation for those who found humor in it.

One fan responded: “Love to see Caitlyn laughing, it’s fun.”

Another added: “A person who can laugh at themselves is not a person lacking in confidence.”
