Trump-Musk Interview Disaster Gets Immediately Compared to 2023 DeSantis Debacle After Users Left Unable To Tune In

Former President Donald Trump’s highly-anticipated X interview with billionaire Elon Musk on Monday was quickly compared to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ own disastrous 2023 X event after glitches and crashes prevented users from tuning in.

More than 30 minutes into the planned Trump-Musk interview, social media users were unable to gain access to the live broadcast, which displayed the notice, “This Space is not available.”

The X Spaces interview appeared to be plagued with similar issues to those that prevented users from tuning into DeSantis’ widely-mocked presidential campaign launch in May 2023.

At the time, the Trump campaign mocked DeSantis’ technical difficulties, taunting, “Glitchy. Tech issues. Uncomfortable silences. A complete failure to launch. And that’s just the candidate.”

In a statement, Musk blamed the issues on “a massive DDOS attack,” and promised that the interview would be posted later in recorded form.

Around an hour after the interview was scheduled to start, users were finally able to tune in, and the interview quickly drew more than one million listeners.
